Social media, friends and even more importantly personal mentors can make such a difference in the life of a person and their influence on future generations.
I have a personal mentor who through extensive study, personal commitment and tenacity has build a business from the basement of his home and $10,000 to now having functional businesses in 129 countries looking to turn over in excess of $6b of revenue per year.
Today he was awarded the Science Foundation Ireland’s (SFI) prestigious ‘St. Patrick’s Day Science Medal’
Who and what you may say is SFI?
"Science Foundation Ireland funds oriented basic and applied research in the areas of science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) which promotes and assists the development and competitiveness of industry, enterprise and employment in Ireland. The Foundation also promotes and supports the study of, and engagement with STEM and promotes an awareness and understanding of the value of STEM to society and in particular to the growth of the economy. See www.ScienceFoundationIreland.ie.
Science Foundation Ireland has launched the #BelieveInScience campaign to promote the potential that science and discovery offer Ireland, today and in tomorrow’s world. The #BelieveInScience campaign will see Science Foundation Ireland work in partnership with the Irish research community to share a mutual passion for science with the public; to promote an understanding of the ability of science, technology, engineering and maths (STEM) to create positive change in the world and to drive a sustainable economy in Ireland."
Circular Solutions, as a proud New Zealand brand, aims to bring the leanings of such organisations like SFI and Alltech to the forefront of New Zealand development. We have started small in some different school communities with simple technology aiming to carry the "message in a bottle" that through good STEM application via the classroom many workable solutions to New Zealand's current environmental issues can be found. It is an exciting adventure, but like discovering messages from the past, we hope to rewrite history on how we changed our small part of the world for the better.
